Most people don’t realize, shelters and streets across the United States—especially in California, Texas, Georgia, and Florida—are facing an unprecedented dog overpopulation crisis.
Nearly 400,000 dogs are euthanized in U.S. shelters each year — a number fueled by overcrowded shelters and limited resources.
We couldn’t just sit by and watch, so we started to share the stories of working breeds on the euthanasia list in hopes of helping them find their forever homes before it’s too late.
The truth is, this is an uphill battle with no end in sight unless serious changes happen. We need stricter breeding laws, more accessible and required spay/neuter programs, and a community committed to change.

This is a true team effort—made possible by our incredible online community, dedicated adopters, loving fosters, and the rescues who make it all happen.
