Most people don’t realize,

The United States—especially California, Texas, and Florida—is facing an unprecedented crisis of shelter and street dog overpopulation. 

Nearly 400,000 dogs are euthanized in public shelters each year simply because there isn’t enough space or resources to care for them. 

We couldn’t just sit by and watch, so we started to share the stories of working breeds on the euthanasia list in hopes of helping them find their forever homes before it’s too late. Since May 30, 2025, we’ve helped save 11 dogs from being euthanized—and we’re just getting started.

But the truth is, this is an uphill battle with no end in sight unless serious changes happen. We need stricter breeding laws, more accessible and required spay/neuter programs, and a community committed to change.
